Columbia River Mental Health Services increases intakes and expands hours
[Vancouver, WA] For 18 months, the pandemic has increased isolation and exacerbated the mental health crisis in our community. More than ever, access to behavioral health services is critical. Columbia River Mental Health Services is increasing the number of new patient intakes starting September 27 and expanding the hours for their NorthStar Clinic.
The NorthStar Clinic is SW Washington’s largest outpatient opiate treatment facility. NorthStar saw a record increase in new patients through the summer.
With an expansion of hours at the beginning of September, the NorthStar Clinic strives to accommodate many work schedules and allow more opportunities for people accessing treatment. The clinic’s new hours are:
- Monday – Friday, 5:30 am – 2:30 pm for current patients
- Monday – Friday, 7 am-12 pm for new patient walk-ins
The increase in mental health intakes and the expanded hours allow Columbia River Mental Health Services to further its mission of providing behavioral health and recovery services that transform the lives of children, adults, and families in the communities of SW Washington.
“Taking the first step and reaching out for help is a big one. We don’t want lack of access to services to be a barrier, and we want to be sure that anyone who needs our assistance gets it. These increased intakes and expanded hours will allow us to better meet the need of behavioral health services in Clark County”, said Victor Jackson, CEO of Columbia River Mental Health Services.
